I prefer using an aluminum tube-type decorating syringe and I needed to replace worn-out ones I had purchased years ago. This one is great--easy to use. It's easy to clean, too--much easier than a bag of some sort--just take off the tip, push out the left-over frosting and wash in dishwater. Rinse and shake out excess water and drain. If you want to change color of frosting, you can use a hair dryer to dry it out a little faster, or do like I do--buy more than one. It's easy to change tips, too.

I have very hot hands and using a piping bag the icing melts making decorating difficult, but these syringes helps to alleviate that problem. My roses turn out looking like roses not icing blobs that have melted in the sun. I can not say enough good about this product I use them daily as well as my mother before me used the same product, I own a full dozen and would buy a dozen more tomorrow if I had the need. I have tried other syringes but NONE has come even close to matching this one.

Sometimes, you just have a quick little dessert that needs a touch and don't feel like pulling out and assembling bags. This is a quick and easy way to just pipe a few flowers and leaves and you're set. It's easy to assemble, to clean, and to change tips. I find it particularly easy to use for piping royal icing flowers. I seem to form them better and with better control than what I'm able to produce with bags.
