The needed materials are listed in detail, as well as the directions to decorate the cake. It took me some time to do it (about 2 hours), but the directions are great and the cake came out beautiful, looking just like the picture in the pan. I highly recommend this pan for amateur bakers. It comes with instructions on how to decorate it. If you've never decorated a cake before like this. I might suggest making a practice one. This was my first and it took forever!! The company this pan comes from has proven to be reliable. Everything I've ever bought is great! Along with this I bought the firetruck napkins, plates and cookie cutters. What a great birthday!!
